When I first became a mom, I did several photoshoots with my kids to document that season of life while they were little. I knew how quickly it would pass, and I wanted to remember not just how they looked, but how it felt.
My favorite photoshoots I ever did with both of my kids were mini breastfeeding sessions.
Breastfeeding is such a challenging and rewarding experience. I personally faced many difficulties, but I wanted to remember the beautiful moments. The way my son would smile up at me while he ate. The way my daughter would fall asleep and cuddle in close. Those are the moments I wanted to hold onto. Not just the hard parts, but the connection, the comfort, and the love. Those images mean everything to me now.
Having my own photography business has made me even more passionate about helping other moms document what is important to them. Whether that is breastfeeding, rocking your baby to sleep, reading books together, or simply spending quiet one on one time together. These everyday moments are often the ones we miss the most.
I also understand that some moms prefer to keep breastfeeding moments private, and I completely respect that. I never share those images publicly without clear permission. Your story is yours to keep, and I honor that.
I offer both in home and outdoor sessions, including Mommy and Me sessions designed to capture this season in an honest and meaningful way.
I will be offering Mommy and Me in home sessions on Vandenberg Space Force Base, in Lompoc, and in Santa Maria leading up to Mother’s Day.
Because you deserve to be in the memories too.
